Studios are meant for exploration and creativity. That’s why—when I’m not working in other facilities—I can be found working on building my personal studio. This is planned to be a place full to the brim with vintage instruments, classic gear and effects, and good vibes to the point where I couldn't possibly fit it all in the space available. To that end, I’ve looked for the absolute best designer in the business—Steve Durr. Steven Durr Designs has designed facilities for an incredible list of heavy-hitters—Mark Ronson, Dan Auerbach/Easy Eye Sound, Lenny Kravitz, Sear Sound, just to name a very few. Steve and Matt Schlachter came up with a build that centers on a cozy control room, open live room, and a focused iso booth—all connected via clear sight lines.
